JBO League: Marna Snaha FC 0-2 Arsenal

Saturday, 27 December 2008

Today season one of the JBO League kicked off.
With news of The Mexicools pulling out, it ment that all matches that were due to be played against the team are now no longer and will not count.
So, it was up to Marna & Arsenal to give us a show, and a show is what we got.
It was a quiet first half but Marna created two chances that most people would believe they should of scored.
Hitting the post, and making he keeper work we had shots and efforts from all angles but Marna were shaken after Sharp scored the first goal in the history of the JBO League assisted by club owner Cesc.
Lupoli shut the game off after putting the ball into an empty net after some neat passing play from Aguerö & Insolence.
Arsenal came out 2-0 winners in the end and are now top of the table with Marna Snaha bottom.

Todays Results:

AC Arto 92 P-P The Mexicools
Marna Snaha 0-2 Arsenal

G'day mate & Howdy ya'll...

Wednesday, 17 December 2008

Hmm, well i'm quite speechless.
If you've been checking the Javaball new players section on Javaball you will notice every 3/4 minutes a new person coming to join the now famous community.
Yeah, we got the odd yank or Canadian but this is just freaky, we've had 3 Australians sign up in the space of 10 minutes, 4 yanks and various others without a flag which come under "other" on the about section.
That's not all, now if you check the page of jouko the creator, founder or whatever you want to call him... you will see that he's flag has changed from Finnish to American, though when you look at his brothers Mikko... who is also one of the programmers of this game then you will see he still has the Finnish flag.
Now, it's either we're being scammed or jouko and Mikko have had an arguement over who gets to pinch the backside of Zaroza meaning that jouko has ran off to the "leading country of the world" to start a new life Mikko free.
Who knows? time will tell.

JBO League taking shape

Tuesday, 16 December 2008

The first ever JBO League which is being put together by JBO owner Grant is now taking shape.
Teams such as Arsenal & Marna Snaha have been recruited, and the website is now up and running for the league which you can now find here.
A lot of hard work has gone into the league and more than 1 month of planning has been involved in this.
Anyway, to join the league your team must be active and played a minimum of 100 ranked games.
Only reason for this is so we get loyal teams taking the league serious.
Also, those wanting to know when the league starts, well erm i'll let you know when i know because of the rumours of the IS Cup III spreading, we do not want the league dates to collide with the IS Cup.

Javaball Releases New Homepage

Saturday, 13 December 2008

Behold the new Javaball homepage!
After constant whining and protests on the streets of Finland, it seems as though Jouko & Mikko actually have fount a new intrest and yes... IT'S JAVABALL!
Thanks to them, and our friends in Helsinki protesting for these wonderfull events, we have seen a new test version which people are complaining over.
Don't forget ladies, this is still a test version TEST... You know? Where they test things out, i'm positive the skills Jouko & Mikko have in programming this is sure to be better than Hockey especially with recent technology.
Still, they've given us a new homepage with fancy looks and rumours are spreading that VIP could hit Javaball as early as the new year.
I've taken some recent screenshots of various pages on the new page and i must say i'm quite impressed.

Though, now i do feel sorry for Jouko and Mikko as they're now putting time and effort into Javaball, a majority of people from Javaball still dont think it's good enough... I don't know they might be stupid or just want something to complain about. Programmers can only do their best!

The Account information page is looking quite spiffy also, making us compete with those Hockey chums from the other side of the pond, only a few of the tabs on this homepage works ie; Player Information & Notes.

Team page has changed also, a more grassy green colour tot the table and "Inactive Teams" have been moved to the top 100 meaning it's going to be a bigger challenge for the title Arsenal dropping down to 6th in recent times because of this.
You will also have the option to check tables that have been played in 5v5, 7v7, or 10v10 format in the future but bit by bit these pages are taking their tole very impressed at the moment? i know i am.

The forum page also changing from the old boring style we've seen for nearly 2 years too a greener version to the shiny hockey one.
Id' say nothing about these updates have really changed to what Hockey's are like but i think we'd prefer this than what the old one had.
Let's just hope the ingame settings chase ie; the zoom because thats the biggest problem the game has, i'm not to sure about the stamina bar maybe it will be more enjoyable if the zoom is taken away.
But to be honest with you i can't see the zoom being taken away because after the recent rumours hit Javaball that a customizable stadium will be put into place there wont be enough room on your screen to see it all without the zoom. So unless you have a 52"+ PC screen i don't think much will change.

And finally a page i am quite proud of, the "About Page" it hasn't changed much apart from the colouring and the shiny spiffy new flags but if you see the new links navigation which has been put into place you will see JBO the abbreviation of the mighty one and only JAVABALL ONLINE!
This is a proud day for all of us at JBO... blah blah blah. Anyway, yeah these are the new shots of the new homepage hope you all enjoyed them.

Netherlands Crushed... Grant Still Standing

Friday, 12 December 2008

Netherlands today were stunned as they lost 4-1 to a Czech Republic side who has never won an international game.
Grant released a statement saying that Hänninen had resigned as the clubs Assistant Coach, and that Grant & Noob will both be staying in their regular roles at the club.
Grant also said that everyone will be given another chance to redeem themselfs and that he will be doing everything possible to turn the results back to normal.

The BIG one - Preview: Czech Republic v Netherlands

Later on today, Czech Republic will take on Netherlands in a large attempt to pile pressure on Netherlands manager Grant for him to face more problems.
Grant who took the job at the end of last month has become unpopular around a handfull of Dutch players after the Brit installed a new rule which rocked Netherlands.
The rule was part of Grants new scheme which was in Grants plans to tackle bad attitudes and racism which as effected Netherlands in the past.
Netherlands have been known on Javaball as the immature bunch that everyone look down on, but since Grant has taken over he has kept his word.
Though Grant installing this rule, and appointing noob as his assistant manager and Max (Carrick) as his coach, Netherlands players such as Vennegoor (Ralph) and a few others are saying he is destroying Netherlands.
Ralph claims that it is a tradition that Dutch players should act this way and for a foreigner to enter the country as manager and mess with the tradition is way out of line.
A number of Dutch players are shocked at Grants selection to face Czech Republic but after he dropped a number of players from the squad he said he had no choice but to do this.

It's a great time to face Netherlands and i'm sure Czech will be looking to cause an upset with so much turmoil on the Dutch path.
Czech have been training hard for this match and S.Vleck has told us that he is confident Czech will pick up their first ever international win.
"I have good faith in the team i have chosen, i know the attackers will cause Netherlands problems and hopefully we can take advantage of the situation they are in and win the match."

You can see the match live at 18:00 GMT, 19:00 CZE/NED on the Javaball website.

JBO Prediction: A very intresting game, Czech are improving but with a mixed number of experienced players i'm sure Netherlands will come out winners. My prediction is Czech Republic 1 - 5 Netherlands.

Javaball Updates: Stadium Confirmed

Thursday, 11 December 2008

A very close source to Javaball and Mikko has told us that a stadium will be one of the updates that will take part in the new version.
The stadium will be customizable in many ways and reports suggest Mikko will be showing another sneak preview picture very soon!

BREAKING NEWS: It's here, this is it

Wednesday, 10 December 2008

Late on December 09, which is Grant's birthday (Not that it has anything to do with this subject, maybe jouko is doing it as a late present...).
Jouko himself appeared online with Mikko with strong rumours saying that he is creating a VIP service for Javaball.
This is the strogest link, rumour or whatever you want to call it we have ever had on Javaball and there is a new hope after the dreams were quashed.

Just now we would like to confirm some breaking news, Javaball test version has been released.

It's finally here, we've all been waiting for it.
I'd also like to point out not through favourtisim but the first ever people in the history of Javaball to test out the new version these names will live long into the names of our great grandchildren tonight these brave men made history there names are:
Grant, Gerrard, Pique, Assuncao Ramos, V.ConE, Riki & the man himself Jouko.

The updates will include, all bug fixes, high quaility graphics, benches, new nets, new balls, new kits and a stamina bar not to mension the advertisement boards which will soon be in use.
Don't forget this isn't the proper version yet it is just a test, and as jouko has stated this is a stepping stone things will be built on top of this ASAP.

It's quite odd if you disagree, but the lads named above have made Javaball history.
December 9 - 10, 2008. NEVO FORGET läds.

Grant using Netherlands as a stepping stone

Tuesday, 9 December 2008

Netherlands manager Grant has revealed that he only took on the Netherlands job so he could use it as a stepping stone for a more crucial job in the future.
Grant, capped 4 times for England is the unwanted star of attention around Netherlands and whilst many Dutch players want him to resign when he has not even had 1 game as a manager.
"Truthly, i only took on this role because it's a challenge and i know once i've proven my point here i can move onto a job that would really suit me. Maybe one day i can manage England."
Players such as Vennegoor who were dropped from Grant's Netherlands squad want to see the last of Grant ASAP but Grant has stood still and said he will not be giving up the job because of "idiots" want him to step down.
Rumours are rising on JBO Bet that Grant will be stepping down as manager after the Czech game, but with Grant refusing to step down we could be seeing a bit of chaos.

Grant feeling the heat

Sunday, 7 December 2008

Netherlands manager Grant is feeling the heat after players who were kicked out of the squad lashed out at him last night.
Vennegoor, pari and Köäkä who is actually in the Netherlands squad said that Grant does not have no idea what he is doing.
Grant fired back a rapid response saying he intends to sort the main objective in the Netherlands that has caused many problems in recent times for Netherlands on Javaball. The Behaviour has to be delt with, and untill players act mature and do not wish to discriminate people racially or in any other way... He will be handing out hard punishments to the Dutch players.
England assistant manager Cesc, and captain P.ZeN gave Grant their support saying that Netherlands need to give him a chance and that he is obviously giving his all to take the country to the next level.
Players such as Dracena who have nothing to do with the Dutch squad has also hit out at Grant saying he is the wrong man.
But Grant remains strong and will be looking to prove he's point on December 12, when Netherlands take on Czech Republic in an International friendly.

Javaball update rumours quashed

Friday, 5 December 2008

Today, Javaball came to a stand still as not one person could get onto playing Javaball.
With people seeing that Hockey was still up and Javaball was down, the excitement started to begin with the rumour of updates!
Rumours had already been circling as Jouko announced that the updates would be taking place within the next 7 days, that was 1 week today that he had announced that and the puzzle was piecing together.
A forum was started by X.Alonso and it gained over 200 posts in a short amount of time, but the rumours started to die down and it became a very regular story as Blister had announced that he had spoken to Jouko and Jouko said there was things not right with the updates, and it had just been a crash of servers.
But how could the servers crash when Hockey was still up?
Maybe it was for the owners Jouko & Mikko to test the game themselfs? Who knows, i think that will still be a mystery to all of us.

JBO Tournaments & Other News

Thursday, 4 December 2008

The JBO Cup is coming closer to Javaball, as Malawi is putting together the last procedures for the tournament.
Rumours are circling that the tournament could be set to start over the christmas holiday but we are awaiting confirmation from Malawi.

Grant is also putting together a tournament/league we aint sure yet... but it's going to be based on UK counties.
Grant has made a forum topic getting people to leave which county they are living in currently, so the tournament can shape up step by step.
Greater London & Yorkshire are looking to be potential winners as they are both filling up fast, but Britains tipped best player P.ZeN is having a poor time as we think he is the only person currently living in Cardiff.

Also, 12 December there will be an international friendly between Czech Republic & Netherlands.
This will see Grant incharge as manager of Netherlands for the first time.
Grant has hit the frame lately with complaints from players saying he is not the right man because he is dropping the wrong people out.
Grant was speaking to JBO earlier:
"I don't want to drop players with great talent from the Netherlands, but i don't want a team that is full of players with a bad attitude.
I would rather lose and know that my players gave 100% their best, than to see my team win and still have the same problem surrounding bad attitudes".

P.ZeN scoops up award for November

Monday, 1 December 2008

P.ZeN has become the first British player to win the JBO player of the month award.
He picked up the award for November with 37.5% of the votes, but it's 2nd time unlucky for Apkamgbo who only got 25% of the vote, still well done to him for collecting runners-up for the second time.

We would all here at JBO like to congratulate P.ZeN for picking up the award, and we hope he continues to impress Soccer.Kiekko and pick up more awards!

I'd also like you to understand that each time the POTM award opens for voting, we would like as many people as possible to start voting on the JBO forum!

Happy Holidays!
